With all of the scandals in recent years, there has been an increasing focus on the role that Corporate Governance has to play in ensuring Boards and their organisations operate effectively.
After working with other non-executive directors in not-for-profit organisations, it was clear that Chairs and Board Members / Trustees often had no clear structure to help them meet the increasingly important GRC (Governance, Risk and Compliance) issues in their organisation.
